oh i heard its harder to get higher marks w usyd so ppl said unsw betterye comm/law is standard for getting into ib. usyd better for it it seems tho
ye definitely harder, but if u do get high marks it's valued moreoh i heard its harder to get higher marks w usyd so ppl said unsw better
ahh true trueye definitely harder, but if u do get high marks it's valued more
probably not worth the effort to try get those marks at usyd though. maybe time better spent networking or doing case comps etc.ye definitely harder, but if u do get high marks it's valued more
Would a distinction be difficult in usyd? Also why is usyd harder to get better marks than unsw?probably not worth the effort to try get those marks at usyd though. maybe time better spent networking or doing case comps etc.
a distinction overall is easy enough. a distinction avg across law subjects is a proper effort. higher avg atar combined with lower average marks compared to unsw and more inconsistent marking practice it seemsWould a distinction be difficult in usyd? Also why is usyd harder to get better marks than unsw?
worth it if you can get it. it's experience in first year which is hard to get, and you can drop the cadetship later on if it's too much effort iirc tho not too sure (and then apply for internships with effectively more experience than others)Also do you think UBS cadetship is worth it? My year 11 marks were kinda mid tho, year 12 alot better besides like english advanced.
A distinction overall as in including commerce?a distinction overall is easy enough. a distinction avg across law subjects is a proper effort. higher avg atar combined with lower average marks compared to unsw and more inconsistent marking practice it seems
100% worth it if you can get it
yepA distinction overall as in including commerce?
honestly no idea im too far removed from that process. if ur interested in equity research rather than the IBD (M&A stuff etc.), law might not even be as useful but then again not too sure there eitherHow difficult is it for ubs? Also what do they value more, like your personality as in teamwork and communication or your marks? Or both. Do you reckon they'll look at y12 marks cos they were better than my y11 marks. Also i saw that last year they were offering an equity research cadetship but i cant find it anymore for this year. This is kind of in like with what im interested in and want to do in the future. Do they change what area of cadetships they offer every yr?
ye mainly probably that, but there are sub 99s iircI saw that they mainly take cadets who get like 99+ atar, i dont even know if i can get 98+ because my english has actually ruined it
Even then theyre still all like 98+ye mainly probably that, but there are sub 99s iirc
well yeah majority of people havent done a cadetship it doesnt make a difference if you dont get it, but does make a difference if you do get itEven then theyre still all like 98+. Do you think itll js be equally as good to just focus on uni marks, networking and tryna get internships rather than this cadetship
Mmm yeah that makes sense, how much do you think doing a law and commerce degree will benefit me in getting jobs in high financewell yeah majority of people havent done a cadetship it doesnt make that much of a difference if you dont get it, but does make a difference if you do get it
like any high finance in general not js ibMmm yeah that makes sense, how much do you think doing a law and commerce degree will benefit me in getting jobs in high finance
