Thank you!! Onstage is the HSC Showcase for the best drama performance works in the state. If you get nominated, that means you're good enough to be in the showcase, and then a selection committee selects people to actually perform from that group! Who gets in is quite based on what kind of performances they want for the show and such (very political), but if you get in, you get to perform at the Seymour centre for thousands of HSC students from across the state!

just those that do drama! for other HSC subjects with external major works, there are other showcases - encore for music (which is similar to drama but performed at the opera house), young writers for e2 (you get your work published in a book and such I think), shape for subjects with building (I'm not one hundred percent sure on that one), etc.
