HELLO

This year I'll be starting the Y11 Business Studies course and I wanted to start a little early in the holidays. Does anyone have any steps I should take and what I should do?

Atm I've looked at the syllabus and started making notes but it feels like I'm not really understanding it. Is there a different way to fastrack how I'm studying for business?? What is the best order to use resources to make a good use of time as well as get a super in-depth understanding of the content??

Also, if there are any resources that I'm clueless about it would be well appreciated if you could tell them to me.

I would appreciate ANY methods and resources so PLSPLSPLS LMK

Thanks!

It's not too hard. I passed prelims with 0 study and not paying attention to anything the entire year.

For studying you need to know ur syllabus and be able to connect to it through questions. So base ur notes around the syllabus dot points, tjat what i wouod have done if i was locked in for business.
For the content understanding part, idk cuz I nev3r paid attention. 😭😭 but
@Study to success can share their expertise!!

I think I was having the same issue last year during the hols and honestly it was kinda a waste of time making notes and stuff cause I was prob gonna forget it by the time year 11 started. But def just familiarising urself with the content and the syllabus for now is the best way to go. But once school starts or u start really understanding everything make sure u have a detailed understanding on each concept and u have case studies and examples. Then after that just do practice questions and make sure ur answers have enough depth

but most importantly make sure u know ur business terminology and ur responses are written like “ur a business studies student and not someone off the street.” ( one of the teacher’s kept on reiterating this). But the content is pretty straight forward and as long as u know ur content back to back u should be fine

I wouldn’t study for business in advance ngl, the content is SO straightforward and easy

I made notes based on the recommended textbook at the time(idk if it changed) which I got access to once year 11 started, it followed the syllabus and made writing notes easier. you’ll probably find it easier to learn in the classroom setting when your teacher is explaining things and you have a textbook asw, it’s so easy
