like for short answers should you be saying 'typically xxx happens' or like say like 'this will happen'
I think usually with science you wanna be certain like “this will happen” or “if ___ then this would happen”.
Only time id think to use low modality is in those society and culture-like chemistry questions like economic benefits then you might say “this could potentially create more jobs” or something

I don't do chem but yeah I think for sciences u should aim for high modality

For humanities it's better to use low modality because things are typically less absolute

Grammar shouldn't be a factor in chemistry if scientifically correct terminology is used

i'd argue it does matter if it affects the accuracy of your reponse
like 'ionisation energy increases as the group number increases' is wrong because there are a few exceptions (e.g. Mg and Al) so 'typically' is better
