is it easy to switch subjects (1 Viewer)

okay sorry for posting another thread but is it simple/easy to switch subjects? i really want to switch into modern history as I wanted to do two HSIE subjects (and didn't get into legal studies) but the class is full so ig i need to wait and see if anyone drops out? we aren't allowed to switch until year 11 so im just stressing over if they'd let me at least try to switch, in case someone has dropped out.

what a shit school. You don't "get into HSC subjects" you're entitled to do them regardless by NESA. It's the school that is imposing it's own retarded policy.

i didn't mean it like the school just 'decides' that I can't do it. There's no policy saying I couldn't do it, but because of lines and timetable issues they can't fit 300 kids into all 6 subjects they want to do. Legal studies happened to be on the same line as another subject I wanted to do so they put me in something else.

yh you just sign a note syaing u want to do this instead of that but the thing is (at my school at least) you switch subjects mid term 1 which for yr 11 is already half of semester 1 and exams are week 9 so you'll only have 4 weeks to catch on all missing content plus additional content, its very risky but to answer your main question: yes its easy to switch

They will let u switch (at least in my school) but since u said that the class is full, its highly unlikely unless someone drops out from modern. but keep in mind u can only switch in the first 2 or 3 weeks of term 1, and they wont let u switch anytime after that. If u don't like the subject which u have picked instead of modern then u can always drop it anytime in year 12. So the less risky plan is to stick with the subjects u got rn.
