Hi y'all,
For ext 1, do we need to know how to solve trig induction questions. I don't think it's been assessed before but I've seen it in a lot of trial papers. E.g. a question like this. Do you reckon we need to know this? @coolcat6778 @C2H6O @tywebb . Thanks

it is technically in the syllabus combining "prove results for sums" (by induction) and compound angles so yeahh

yeah i would but its not that hard just know your way around compound angles and other trig stuff and youll probably be fine

which part were u struggling with?
u should hopefully be able to get LHS of n = k+1
= 1- cos(2kq) + 2sin(q)sin((2k+1)q) all over 2sinq
which simplifies to the RHS using products to sums
