I am currently in year 10 and there is a minimum of 12 units to be done in yr 11. I am also accelerating 2 units

However, at my school, if you want to choose extension 1 maths and english (both) then you must do 14 units in yr 11. This means in yr 12 you will be doing 12 units.

These are the 14 units:
English Advanced - 2
Mathematics Advanced - 2
French Continuers - 2
SOR - 2
Economics - 2
Business Studies (Accelerated) - 2
English Ext - 1
Mathematics Ext - 1

If i do drop, i think it will most likely be english ext. But is it worth it doing the 14 units in yr 11 when i am sitting my hsc for business studies?

I do want to do ext 1 eng more than economics, but i dont think that is possible with this arrangement. Economics is also quite a hard subject, so if I weren't to pick, what subject would be recommended instead.

think about it this way
get 75 for every subject at 14 units or get 87 for every subject at 10 units only... but only 10 units will count anyway so it was worthless to do 14 units and get bad in them all

not necessarily but it is something to consider

Although i think it's absolute bullshit that everyone on this site consistently says that no one ever stays with 12 units and those who do suffer miserably, there is a small grain of truth in there
