i wanna quickly know for the rest of my coders out there, has your school done the sample online tests, and if so, did any of the students computers (or even yours) crashed ?

Mine did, twice. my school did a sample test earlier this year, and my computer crashed from an uncontrolled python while loop, and the latter was done today, and it crashed on a similar python programming question, albeit it had, i presume, a ram error an hour before it blew up. I could go back in on the latter, but teacher had to restart my computer.

You know, I think old age is finally getting to the NESA big important people. Who thought it was a good idea for the entire NSW to access a cloud-based app on crappy acer and dell laptops? I mean surely someone must have brought up this issue, technical difficulties and such. Some people trust technology too much, not realising that 99% of the time, when software works, it is by dumb luck.

Haha, fair point it really does feel like they underestimated how fragile that setup could be. You’d think they’d stress-test something like that before letting every student in NSW log in at once. Cloud-based systems are great in theory, but when half the devices are running outdated browsers and throttled school Wi-Fi, it’s just asking for chaos. Sometimes “modernisation” happens faster than the infrastructure can actually handle.
