did you do physics or chemistry btw?
both. I finished physics and got a mid band 5. The general consensus in my school is that chemistry is much harder. Even objectively, the highest trial marks for physics was around 90% but in chemistry around 70%. I was doing so well in internal physics never getting below 70% but now I am getting 50% at best

I’d recommend looking at the syllabus for both subjects cause this person’s clearly trying to sell physics to u. Cool cat’s successfully made someone hop boats to the physics club
If this person is sway so easily, then they had already considered doing physics making this choice a rather logical one lol.

But lowkey they were considering modern over physics so if they seriously wanted to consider physics they would have put it as one of their options tho or at least asked abt it

i won’t lie, my mum posted the question but she didn’t know that i was mainly considering phys vs chem not history. phys was always an option

what if i drop latin and do both chem and physics
donntttttt droppppppp languagessssss
if you're good at a language then DEFINITELY keep it, it's literally free atar points. i mean i guess i cant speak for latin and idk how much of this would apply to it since it's a dead language, but i do french and i put my phone in french and i just absorb it naturally and i do great in tests because it's like passive study throughout the year so i dont even have to do anything special before exams lol
as for your chem/phys/modern question, i do chem and phys, and of those two i would EASILY say phys is so much easier. i have to agree with @coolcat6778 on pretty much everything, phys is very easy to do well in as long as you can remember a couple pretty straightforward experiments. chem on the other hand has way too much silly memory for me personally, ESPECIALLY in mod 8 💔 genuinely fuck solubility rules and flame colours 🥀🥀
as a science-y person, i think both are pretty fun and i see other people do fine in chem and bad in phys so it could just be my skill issue. i think, as with most subject questions, it's a pretty case by case basis and you just need to reflect on what you truly enjoy, because trust me you're gonna study stuff you like to learn about more and therefore do better in those subjects.
i cant speak for modern bc i fucking hate history personally lol, and just writing essays in general, so sorry abt that

I'm definitely biased since (as you can tell from my signature) that I do chemistry, though I went through the same physics vs chemistry debate wen picking my subjects so I feel like I'm somewhat able to contribute ahaha

Physics has a lot of math...in some modules - other modules have a lot of short answers, and it can be strangely subjective
This issue does exist in chemistry, to be frank, but from what I've heard from my friends, it feels worse in physics, mainly because people expect it less, I feel
Chemistry's calculations are more basic, but its questions (apart from the darned ones requiring memorisation) tend to involve more critical thinking - the spectra in Mod 8 are really like a fun puzzle in my opinion
Which one is harder? Honestly, I feel like they're equally difficult - in my school the averages are approximately the same, with the only differences coming from the actual people who do it
Personally I find physics more boring (I hate the physics-related maths modules, mechanics is my least favourite math ext 2 topic)

Do whichever one you actually enjoy, but ensure you can do good in it!
