Often I find myself perfecting the first 13 qns leaving me with way little time to do questions 14, 15 & 16 just wondering, how long should I be spending on each section in a maths ext 2 exam?

i try to allocate time according to the mark value, like 28 minutes per question and 15 minutes for the mcq, but it depends on ur strategy and personal preference.
if u find that the first 13 qns are where u achieve most of ur marks it's probably a good idea to spend more time on them

i never did time planning but if you sense that you're lingering for too long on a question which you can't figure out where to begin, write what you can and skip it; feels wrong but it usually maximises marks
if you feel like you know what the solution is but its taking too long, persist being careful not to make errors but make a mental note that you're behind so up the skips on questions you have no clue how to solve
its better to finish with like 15+ min and have to go back rather than get to q16 and run out of time
