i've been offered arts/law at UOW and i really want to do law (because i've always been interested in law), except where i live the commute is 2h away and the uni itself doesn't interest me as much as UNSW; it's just the degree that interests me.
UNSW has also been my dream uni for its societies and how familiar it is to me, however i haven't gotten a good enough atar. as such, i was planning on doing an arts IPT to law – i like arts inherently, and i believe i'll enjoy my arts degree anyhow. however, i'm concerned this is too risky and i'll be stuck doing arts until the point of getting a juris doctor for law, especially considering the competitive nature of law at UNSW.
i would prefer to not be stuck in a degree at unsw, and instead do a degree that i like. however, i've always wanted to go to unsw as well, and i'm worried the social culture won't be as good at uow which is a factor for me.
should i take up the UOW offer, or go to UNSW and attempt to IPT into law?
(i also got law offers for western and notre dame, but they don't interest me either).
