guys i genuinely feel cooked for english. im averaging 90 rn but thats cuz i got lucky with the first two assignments somehow. idk how im gonna do in the trial exam & it terrifies me. im HORRIBLE at unseen texts & my base essays arent ready, ive written them up for all except mod b. common mod i havent looked back at but i was horrid, im fine with mod a, mod b havent done my essay yet.... and mod c i hate my creative but love my discurisve. im so scared cuz i just clocked the hsc is in 94 days or smth idk and i cant keep delaying english im scawredddd

How are you studying for English? Contrary to popular opinion, I found English was the subject I spent the least time studying for in the HSC. This is because for other subjects I had to remember multitudes of essays for each topic whilst for English it was only one essay per topic.

So for English study I'd say don't overcomplicate it. Just create a really solid band 6 essay for each topic and rote memorise it for the test. Then just adapt the language of your essay to fit the given question. In the next 94 days perfect those essays, and that's all you really need to do.

However, maybe remember multiple pieces for Mod C, because I got caught out in the HSC having only having prepared an imaginative .

Try not to rely on chatgpt too much when writing these essays. I'd say the best resource you can use is academic papers, so log onto jstor or google scholar and search for higher level analysis of your texts. I'd say, if you can't be bothered to create your own english essay you're better off borderline plagarising an academic paper (although not saying you should) than getting chatgpt to write it for you. The academic paper essay will sound much more sophisticated than the bland chatgpt essay.
