U quit?! Do u regret it?

well not really cause it was quite taxing on my mental health but sometimes I kinda wish I did get up to diploma levels and stuff to flex to people but not because Ia actually want to. But I still play for fun cause I do enjoy piano

same... I always wanted to quit but i didnt.. piano always made me hate myself, but I dont want to regret, I might not do exams, or jst do online exams instead

Piano? I'm doing my piano exam really soon... I play a little of Chopin, like Etude Op 10 No 3 and nocturne 19 no 1, even though im at grade 5, i play harder songs. But im always wanting to quit piano, should i?

AYY im a grade 5 pianist too (doing my exam late november), i luv chopin soo much i really wanna play a piece of his for music 1 hsc.. but my hand size is failing me.

The problem is that my mum wants me to get at least the certificate of grade 8... wonder if i can skip grades. Nope not happening my teacher wouldnt let me skip grades

quite a lot for me my parents want me to stop for a term cuz of the expenses... i go to a guy who state ranked music ext back in the 1980s or smth. Very profesional guy, i think we pay 90bucks an hr

i use to do AMEB Classical repertoire exams, however i changed to trinity examinations cuz my parents wanted a more universally recognised institution. I get to choose not to do sight reading, i absolutely suck at it lmaoo.

ahhh so not the specific theory exams (its like a separate exam that focuses on music theory and knowledge)

im doing aural, musical knowldge, clapping and technical excersizes, 3 main pieces, scales and arpeggios.

also not to scare u but from grade 5 onwards they def mark harsher. But also it depends on ur examiner. But like in grade 4 and below it's basically impossible to fail

Ohhh.. maybe cuz grade 5 onwards is level 2
