Why haven't the marking guidelines released for MX2 and MX1? what the hell are they doing?

They released shitty chemisery marking guidelines despite chemisery being later?

MX2 was bad and probably they treading very carefully on what to give marks to and what not to.

i disagree. your perception of bad might be different to mine.

for me bad is boring, so boring when one wants to do past papers one might say skip those papers.

so i think in recent years the extension 2 papers have been getting better - so not bad.

they have interesting questions, not typical textbook questions, and not typical questions coming from tutoring companies.

My idea of bad kinda stems from the fact that decent chunk of the questions were too quirky for too early in the paper (like 13a) and I don't feel like doing past papers helped me do any better than my trials.

This might be a really hot take tho, and I'm willing to accept that I am kinda average at mx2 tbh, but that's just how it felt to me.

i wish i was average, average in mx2 is 85 hsc mark which scales barely any different compared to a 90

What raw mark do you guys think would go to an aligned 96? Last years was 95 but this years paper 1 was way harder and paper 2 asw since all the questions were text specific and mod B was extract whereas last yrs was all general.
