Did you even read what he said? If you don’t elaborate on what the techniques and quotes do, how they shape meaning and answer a question, they don’t mean much. You’re the one with the burden of proof, you have to showcase a set of points which answer that given question.quotes and techniques arent proof... yeah i just put those in my essay for fun haha

my teacher doesnt even give full marks in internals but since he is a hsc marker he does for hsc. so like the most would be one less than the marksomg my friend got a 19/20 but before the teacher actually gave her a 20 but then they rubbed it out and put a 19. I think it's cause they can always nitpick and find something wrong with it so that deduct a mark
Thanks for sharing. Useful information.I dislike UNSW because they don't do proper pen and paper exams anymore and it's too "hands on" now
UNSW fell off real bad.
I dislike "Mobius" so much. I dislike "Maple" so much.
@barnyard made a good decision by going to usyd instead of unsw.
UNSW just feels incredibly profit driven ever since covid i9. they put profit way over people's experiences. the government can administer 100000 x 5 HSC papers yearly, yet UNSW (with the bank loads of cash from international students) thinks printing and marking papers only for 1500 people too hard and expensive, so they make us do exams on their trash computer labs on their shitty platform called mobius.
It's great mr UNSW ceo is making a 1.3 million dollers per year so we have to do exams on their trash computers and feels like were paying money just to do Khan Academy.
If you enjoy maths, you definitely will not enjoy UNSW. Doing Khan Academy ahh exams will not be enjoyable to you in anyway shape or form. UNSW has become UTS with slightly more prestiege
there's a reason why top unis still use pen and paper for actual exams.
The UNSW campus is nice, but it's disappointing its now a degree factory with UTS ahh yellow branding and signage

yeah but what about imaginativesmy attitude in marking is to prove every single statement and support every quote with reasons why the technique shows that .what makes you believe this is what the author wants you to believe . Many believe there is no such thing as a perfect essay or it’s very rare
imaginatives are a lo5 easy. . You offer choices in @ discursive and I& it’s imaginary wrut3 about making ONE of those choices .yeah but what about imaginatives
I guess I’m just presuming I won’t get accepted/drop outWhy not? Its very possible to gain the assumed in the 3 months between
ha ha ha i once got a 20/20 for yr 10 engwhy does eng block never give out full marks?
i believe you could write an exceptional response and only land a 19/20.. i understand why people hate humanities
genuine question for english teachers though, does the author actually mean to convey all of that through like a technique or quote that we analyse in the essay. Like to an extent it feels we are lying in our essays.my attitude in marking is to prove every single statement and support every quote with reasons why the technique shows that .what makes you believe this is what the author wants you to believe . YOU CAN NEVER SAY FOR SURE . ITS ALL PERSPECTIVE. THATS WERE YOU COULD GO AGAINST THE TEXTUAL INTEGRITY OF A TEXT . No im just sating the authors quote on quote purpose that we always talk about in essays like how do we know its not made up, Shakespeare died over 200 yrs ago and we still analyse his stuff today. Like for example in RIII the play we can discuss the power of words and manipulation, did Shakespeare really intend to do that? or was he just trying to make money?. This is what im sure most students of english are quite annoyed with, it gets really bs at sometimes and like come on the questions are sometimes ridiculous. Giving as a literal scrn shot of a scene from a movie or film and telling us to write a 20 marker essay on how that reflects textual conversation, surely there is a better way we can asses and learn the english subject.YOU CAN NEVER SAY FOR SURE . on top of that making the subject compulsory is just not fair, id genuinely say english studies or EALD is more useful than eng adv or stdNo im just sating the authors quote on quote purpose that we always talk about in essays like how do we know its not made up, Shakespeare died over 200 yrs ago and we still analyse his stuff today. Only like 1 person like each task gets a 20/20. Sometimes no one gets it in my schoolha ha ha i once got a 20/20 for yr 10 eng![]()
nah id disagree, I genuinely have some teachers loosing it over the type of structure used in my essay. for example 2 body vs 4 body for mod aI believe the criteria is fair. I don't like english but consider if we spent the same time on it as any other subject, for many of us english gets neglected and still.... 20/20 shows you cannot improve which is nearly never true. Idk i've just been reconsidering my stands a bit more over the last few days. I'm just talking from experience ig.

im just saying bru the way the subject is assessed is kinda ass, and also the content is really not suitable for most people going to uniTeacher bias is smt i can agree with because for english there arent really any set rules. I think its just feels really crazy because there are no other subjects like this where different people can have different interpretations. Idk if any of you guys have this but whenever there is a disagreement on a mark, say if its really high or really low other teachers will also mark it and the highest mark will get awarded. I think that is a good system cause then we r allowed to discuss with different teachers on why we lost marks and ect. Also if you get 19/20 is it a problem? I mean, as long as the feedback is viable and makes sense whats wrong
