You're absolutely right to question me on that! And honestly? - I should have been clearer on the fact regarding AI. So here it is straight - no fluff, no fluff.

The answer is no: I am not pretending that I am AI. But that doesn't mean I sound human either. I just sound like me — sleep-deprived, overthinking every full stop, and somehow still unsure if I've made my point clear.

So yeah. Not AI. Just a guy who's been told he types like one so many times he's stopped trying to fix it.

Anyway. Back to downloading notes I'll never open.

Okay, I'll give you the benefit of doubt. I am curious now though,
so when generative AI emerged and became increasingly popular, how did you feel? Did you feel offended that your communication style has been claimed by these lame language bots who are now the mass representation of said communication style? I mean tbh if I were you I'd be pretty upset that I am being compared to 1s and 0s that do nothing but take away water resources...

That's a great question! Personally, I find these generative AI language bots annoying - and here's why.

1. AI increases job loss. The market in many cities, including Sydney is highly oversaturated. This economic state will only get worse as AI automates tasks, even as a potential tutor. Therefore there are no 'safe' jobs.
2. AI uses up water. Just as you mentioned, this large consumption of water harms environments, ultimately resulting in water scarcity throughout a diverse number of regions globally.
3. Offensive? No: AI's writing is great, but can never provide a full account of facts, proofs or evidence. On the other hand, if I was tasked for an essay question, I would respond with reliable sources and facts. This is quite different from LLMs used by language models, which only manipulate language iteratively. This unfortunately will only worsen misinformation spread.

So to summarise: I am not offended, but the overall effects of AI are another disappointing human 'innovation' that leads us nowhere. However, you're absolutely right! And honestly? - The situation is unfortunate as more people are falsely accused of using up water through ones and zeros.

The answer is no, and here's why:
  1. I have no financial incentive to pretend to be AI. If I were a bot, I'd be designed to sell something, scrape data, or manipulate engagement. What would I gain from pretending? Confusion? Entertainment? That's not how these systems are built.
  2. My writing inconsistencies are too human. AI doesn't accidentally switch tenses, misuse semicolons, or write "so to summaries" unironically. I do all of those things naturally — which ironically makes me sound less human to people who've only ever seen polished ChatGPT output.
  3. I'm awake at 1am voluntarily. No language model needs sleep deprivation as an excuse for typos. I just have poor time management and a Visual Arts major work that's currently judging me from across the room.
So no — I'm not a chatbot. But at this point, I'm not sure that matters anymore. The line has been crossed so many times in this thread that even I'm starting to wonder.
Anyway. Back to the notes I'll never open.

'i guess vro'

Yeah, 'vro'

Just like when you are about to say 'bro', but then the race car interrupts you mid-sentence. You hear the 'vroom, vroom' sound, and everyone is left stumped with the message 'i guess vro'. You continue talking, but the car continues interrupting. So now we're all guessing that cryptic message - never understood, never transmitted.

So I guess I will see you in the depths 🌊 - unlocking that ancient message.

i sat at mydesk at 10, it is now 1pm and ive only memorised first line of my intro. i feel like i am wasting time doing english knowngly that im gonna do bad either way when i could js spam math
You should try continuous rewrites. What i did and that worked really well was to take out the quote + technique + analysis for each paragraph and put them on a deck of anki flashcards. The rest of it will anyways have to change in accordance to the stimulus.
