I will never understand why anyone would waste their time on such a pointless subject like English Ext 2. Unlike 3u and 4u maths that are actually applicable for Uni courses, etc, you gain nothing from doing EE2 besides probably a sense of personal accomplishment and a keener eye in English as a whole.
ee2 students could write you pregnant, va students can draw you pregnant and there's nothing you could do about it. Do not underestimate their power. (also 10/10 rage bait)

There's no such thing as a pointless subject mate, not everything you do in highschool will contribute to what you learn in university
With this logic, any mathematics beyond the basics is useless then. Ur not gonna go to the supermarket and calculate the arithmetic sequence of a block of cheese are you?
yeah I'll def be looking at my roof one day and deciding to use the sine rule to find the angle that the roof of my house makes

Well you know I was looking at my lamp one day (the og 25s might remember this) and you know you the light that comes the light bulb radially produces a sphere? Well the lamp shade cuts it off in circles, so you’re left with a “sector” of a sphere, ie a cone. This cone of light intersects the walls, casting a particular shape on it.

Recall conic sections:

the wall is vertical, and as such makes a vertical cut to the cone of light, casting a HYPERBOLA on the wall 🤯

proof by exhaustion on desmos

so everytime you use a torch or lamp or other conic light source you’re casting hyperbolas, parabolas, ellipses and circles

*deep sigh* why oh why did they remove conics from the extension 2 syllabus (also this reminds me of my phase in early year 11 where I would graph pictures on desmos, I have a very good bulbasaur)
