guys of course the day before hsc my cat goes missing like no one has seen him all day and its getting dark now and im distraught and i cant study

bro right and if its only ranks i dont understand how they say hsc is 50 percent of our mark when our final mark is pretty much only determined by the hsc (assuming internal+external ranks stay the same)

he goes out like everyday for only for an hour or two before coming back because he gets hungry. the last time we've fed him was like 7am so must be hungry but hes not coming back i put food at the gate and nothing still idk what to do

ok, ill tell you what i can from my understanding but i cant guarantee its correct, its just from nesa vids on moderation and what my teachers have said but basically
the mark u get in ur hsc gets moderated to your internal ranking, but what it does is get the top mark, the average, and the lowest mark,

every other mark inbetween gets averaged out,
so in a cohort of like 100 eng adv kids, say you were 25th,then you get the average between the mark of the 1st mark and the average mark

what this lowk means is that ur internal mark doesnt even get taken into consideration, which makes sense because its hard to verify the difficulty at what different schools give their internal assessments, and hsc is the only exam that every single student sits

but again if im wrong then please lmk anyone

cus they moderate ur internal marks to match the hsc marks. (a way to make every school's internals get the same difficulty per mark)

It feels so unreal that hsc starts tmrw. It literally feels like it's just a normal school exam but its notttt. Its the real dealll.
