It is a good selective. You should apply to it, but also apply to 2 others just in case since it’s harder to get accepted Y7-Y8 since not many ppl transfer during those years.

Hey so im currently in yr 10 trying out for yr 11 but i did my HAST exam in Girraween last yr and let me tell u there aren't many spots before that tbh until yr 9 getting into yr 10 or so. Girraween make a whole new class with applicants so there are even more people doing it in yr 10 entry. Last yr when i did it, there were at least 200 people solely in my grade so even if u dont get in for girraween this yr - keep this in mind if u might try again later. Also does anyone have any HAST resources for yr 10 trying out for yr 11 entry?? if so pls reply or pm me

approximately 90 people did the test, and there is only 1-4 spots depending on the school. for example NSGHS and HGHS had 4 spots available, but other schools such as James ruse and NSBHS had approx 1-2. if you get an offer to the school, you will get an interview with the principal where you will get asked different questions.
Ohh ok. Would you know how many people sit the test at Girraween and how many spots there are? I’m still thinking about what schools to put down.
