No, the first year its getting tested in the HSC is 2029. But if you're in year 8 then yes, you're doing that new syllabus.
They completely got rid of module 4 and put 4.1 (calorimetry) into module 3. But 4.2 and 4.3 which is Enthalpy & Hess' Law and Entropy & Gibbs Free Energy are completely gone. I'm pretty sure those are the only changes (?)
Don't use the textbook. I literally haven't touched a science textbook in my entire high school career. Your chemistry teachers at JRAHS shouldn't be too bad...
