gonna post my chronological thoughts here

- Multiple choice was my worst section it made me feel so dumb cuz I did it first😭 oh well
- Knew nothing about peace rights but I think a lucky ICCPR guess will get me 2/3
- They asked for examples plural on a 5 marker? I gave two hopefully it was enough
- I thought the contemporary issue 7 marker was the nicest question on the paper tbh. Very generous and straightforward
- The 15-marker was tough but at least the fears abt transnational were warranted so I got to prepare for it.
- Options were lowkey amazing and both of my prepared essays worked. My assumption is most did option b for family and option a for world order

Some parts of the paper felt kinda bullshit but if I try and ignore negativity bias I think it was ok

Eng Ext1 soldiers I'll see yall over in that thread soon🫡
7 marker wasnt contemporary issue right

For that, I did both international and domestic, and my teacher has always told me that if it's legal measures (unspecified), then do both just to be safe.

Mine said it isn’t necessary unless the question is worded like this:
Explain how effective international and Australian legal responses are to a contemporary human rights issue.

the question was too broad and yes you could’ve identified international measures but that doesn’t guarantee you marks, if the markers wanted international asw they would’ve specified it.

my teacher said that they wanted to people to look beyond domestic measures and do international measures. shows a more broader understanding aligned with syllabus. if you said to "somewhat extent", then the inclusion of international is perfect

I don’t remember it being an assess question and yes looking beyond domestic would strengthen ur response but just doing domestic is enough to get the 7 marks asw. My teacher has been a hsc marker for 30 yrs and he said going beyond the question won’t guarantee you extra marks. Obvs in this situation you could’ve referred to both or either. I’m just trying to say even if you only did Australian legal measures it’s sufficient, you wouldn’t lose marks for not referring to international.

i am a hater of how questions, not even an Alarm verb. honestly if it is a bigger mark, you are kind of expected to integrate evaluation.

provided someone extensively covered domestic legal measures, you would be fine. same for if you just did international.

Yeah, that's what I always do, a little bit of international for background, then mostly domestic and how it's effective/ineffective or protects/doesn't protect. I don't do it for extra marks; I was just taught that it makes my answers more comprehensible.
