literally just anything that sounds like it could reasonably be real, they wont check it, if you want fake statistics shitting on something for your argument, just use media buzzwords- [important individual/organisation] [slams/drops bombshell/backs down/urges/could] [topic]; 'NSW Law Society slams new bail laws with scathing review paper (The Guardian, 2021) lols
do we need titles? i tend to never do them because i think its a waste of words and normally just quote directly from the article and have always gotten v high marks from my teacher but idk how it works for HSC

based off recent trends for crime the questions have been pretty tough (excluding last year), so i reckon they'll ask something along the lines of defences or alternative sentencing; nesa seems to be moving away from "broad questions" possibly due to concerns over memorised essays

those syllabus dot points would screw over basically the entire state. You can't really memorise essays in legal so im not sure how there would be concerns to that, the only thing you could memorise is the LCMDI's and issues with the law.

surely nto liek yeah i get their concerns but like i rlly dont think they would expect the whole state to have 3 paragraphs on each dot point in crime

Yeah I don't get the rationale at all I feel Nesa surely has to make a distinction between which ones can and can't be asked as an essay because there is genuinely so much going on in Crime. Like 2015 Transnational Crime 15 marks was insane our teacher said he wrote to NESA complaining that it was an unfair question.

i mean one year they screwed everyone over with post sentencing and the state did so bad that the criteria got changed significantly. but yeah as long as it isnt alternative sentencing (because i have NO idea how you would even do that for a full 15 marker) or non legal it should be sweet. ive kinda covered all paragraphs for everything but that

thats valid but to be fair thre is quite a bit u can talk about in transnational crime. However with defences or alternative methods of sentencing its very unlikely. I think types of penalties would be more reasonable but thats just my pov

u could waffle alternative methods of sentencing. Circle sentencing is for Aboriginal Peoples and restorative justice you could include the YJC. Im not sure about the legislation around the Circle Sentencing but as long as u have that its pretty waffable

literally all you can talk abt for alt sentencing is 1. circle sentencing 2. restorative justice 3. young offenders (cautions, YJCs, etc(

no thats fair and over years like ppl said legal has been deviating from less specific to aim to reduce students going in with memorised essays to a broad theme and challenge im also scared asf but if its bad its bad for everyone !!

wait you can do young offender cautions too?
what i would do is circle sent + cannibas cautioning etc, then child restorative justice and then like maybe YJCs etc

if they were to ask it this is how they did it in 2012

To what extent are courts the only means of achieving justice within the criminal justice system?
