Pharmacy at UNSW or USYD? (1 Viewer)

I'm currently applying for university and deciding between UNSW and USYD as my top preference. I am eligible for gateway at UNSW, but I still want to know which course would give me the best opportunities both in and after university.

I feel like it doesn't matter, a pharmacist is a pharmacist. unless either uni is known to have a better pharmacy department (which I don't know of). the fact that you have gateway for unsw is definitely a factor to consider

Thank you for the reply. Yes, gateway is definitely a major factor I’m considering, that’s why I’m leading towards UNSW but I was also considering USYD. I was just maybe wondering which pharmacy department might be better

I started working at a pharmacy almost 3 years ago but never actually considered pursuing it as a career until last year because I enjoyed the environment and also the patient interactions. Other things I considered was also the flexibility, scope and stability of the job. A downside is the pay which isn't the greatest but I've talked to many pharmacists who have mixed opinions and I'm still wanting to pursue it. However, I think I might struggle in uni a bit as I didn't taken chemistry in high school because I wasn't considering pharmacy until year 11 but I might look into a bridging course. At the moment, I have pharmacy as my first option and paramed as my second option but I'm not entirely sure which direction I want to go in
