looking at the raw marks database, usually above 90 is when raw marks stop aligning upwards for standard 2. so maybe you got 98 raw! but this is going off of 2023 data

This year's paper was different to previous papers. Definitely more conceptually challenging compared to previous ones (probably the most so far).

I think this year physics has poor alignment. Many of the questions were not so challenging as compared to 2019 or 2023. Also most of my trial marks were 79 to 80.

English Standard: Maybe like 75 raw to 80 aligned idk
Physics: 85 raw to 92
Mex2: like 72 or so to 92
Mex1: Like 68-69/70 to 99
Engineering Studies: like 87 to 92
Software engineering: Genuinely no clue, maybe like 88 to 93 but new subject so alignment might be whack
SoR1: like 37 to 41

yeah i know right, i was so hoping that it would scrape a 90 but ah well i got a good atar still so i'm fine.

crazy to me tho how based off my guesses chem scaled better than mx1 somehow, ig mx1 was an easier paper (lines up with what i thought post exam anyway)

Teachers get access to our raw marks per a question alongside our overall aligned mark. I was suggesting that I could email my teachers to get these raw marks to circumvent payment.

I mean you can have a look here: https://www.uac.edu.au/assets/docum...liminary-report-on-the-scaling-of-the-hsc.pdf to see the scaling vs hsc mark data, but the amount a mark scales by is dependent by percentile and the relative difficulty of a course.

physics: 83 raw to 92 aligned
me1: 60/70 raw to 92 aligned
me2: 76 raw to 91 aligned
however I am not completely sure abt my chem and physics raw marks because of the subjectivity in long response questions but i am quite certain of my maths marks

I think this year's band 5 cutoff for physics would probably be 83/85.

those aren't raw marks. it is the mark after alignment
