Hi, I was wondering if I could get an ATAR estimate please. I just want to know where I’m standing before my trials which are starting next week.

I go to a non-government school which was ranked less than 100, but greater than 120 in 2024.

Total Students in Yr12: 179

Format:

Subject: 2024 B6, 2023 B6, 2022 B6, 2021 B6
Rank:
T1
T2
T3

Eng Adv: 11, 6, 7, 11
Rank: 9/91
94%
85%
80%

Eng Ext1: 0, 2, 1, 2
Rank: 1/5
100%
96%

Eng Ext 2: 0, 0, 0, 0
Rank: 1/4
100%
100%
100%

Maths Adv: 11, 26, 12, 25
Rank: 23/55
77%
67%
85%

Chemistry: 1, 2, 1, 3
Rank: 4/43
74%
87%
97%

Physics: 4, 0, 0, 0
Rank: 4/25
74%
86%
94%

Biology: 12, 9, 8, 8
Rank: 21/105

All tasks were exams except EE1 (T1) and EE2 (T1, T2 and T3) which were submission tasks.

Thanks!
:)

Given this information, you seem to be on track with an ATAR between 94 and 95. Your performance is favourable across your subjects, with some being better than others.

English Advanced, English Extension 1, English Extension 2 and Physics are your better-performing subjects, and as such are likely to make the most significant contribution to your ATAR out of your subject combination. Because of this, it is important to do your utmost to maintain your position in each of these subjects. After this, your focus becomes performing as well as possible in the HSC exams of these subjects (and the Major Work in the case of English Extension 2).

On the other hand, Mathematics Advanced, Chemistry and Biology appear to be your lower-performing subjects. However, this does not mean that your performance is unfavourable in these subjects. Instead, it simply means that it is of a lower standard than your other subjects. Despite this, they are still likely to make a good contribution to your ATAR, just probably not as significant as your other better-performing subjects. Additionally, there is likely room for improvement in these subjects. Hopefully trials will be a good opportunity for you to improve your ranks in these subjects and, similar to the above, your HSC exams are a great opportunity to improve your overall performance, potentially allowing you to exceed this estimate.

I hope this helps! :D

thank you so much! I’m aiming for around a 97-98 so it definitely needs more work. Hopefully the trials turn out alright.
