To all students out there,

I hear you are suffering. I understand you think that the system is rigged against you, which is partially true. The facts are that socio-economic privilege does buy better education, which results in better life outcomes. This is a fact. However, I think we should step away from the small things and look at the big picture. The big picture is that: Sydney is dying as a country. It is dying because nobody wishes to have kids anymore. And, when you step away and wonder why, it is because Sydney is an expensive city.

And, change starts from kids. Kids are the future of Australia, and hence must encompass Australian values. So, perhaps it is finally time for stricter regulations such that the tutoring culture that has caused generational trauma is disbanded.

Didn't know Sydney was a country.

Also private tutoring is not a major factor in why people no longer wish to have kids, decline in birth rate is a problem with many other developed countries. Restriction of private tutoring will not magically increase birth rate nor input "Australian Values" into the next generation.
