Ohh ok, that sounds like a lot of ppl... So you basically have to get comparable marks to the yr 8s in ruse that sit the test right? (To make it into yr 9)

I have no idea if I should do ruse or baulko if I had to pick one edutest school (I'm planning on applying for penrith, girra and one edutest school) because ruse has more spots than baulko, but baulko is lower ranked so they'd be slightly easier to get into, compared to ruse. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Yea, 4 superiors + good reports and you're pretty much guaranteed. i can ask someone from ruse who sat the test what he got on edutest but he takes a few business days to respond

Yeah but they both open up a new class, plus this year im pretty sure ruse only had 2 more spots than baulko for year 9. In the end it's your decision based on subjects offered, location and etc

So scoring "comparable" doesn't necessarily mean you have to score the same or higher right...? I feel like the max I can get is 4 superiors since I've never done edutest and I'm unfamiliar with the format... Do you know how many ppl are in the group of ruse kids that set the standard?

Also I think hast/edutest is number one priority to most schools..
Prestigious schools like nsb, ruse, ns, baulko etc also care about extracurriculars and mid ladder schools like Girraween and Penrith don’t really care as much
I think they look at hast/edutest results first since there’s a minimum mark you must meet. If you don’t ur immediately cut (which happened to me :v)
Then they look at your other stuff and hast schools usually only care about hast marks but edutest school actually care a ton about your reports and excs.
I could be wrong but lmk
Since when bro was a min Marks 😭 😭

Yeah like I think someone here who goes to ruse said that their friends were one of the people who set the standards and they don't care about the test at all, and now people are getting 5 superiors?? 😭😭

Im thinking of using selective specialist for girra entry for hast but for edutest I'm kinda clueless bc people have told me not to use thje official practice test cuz they're not timed and apparently they aren't accurate. Also I heard that someone used notesedu to get in and they got like 4 superiors but the thing is I don't really have much experience with the test and also its really hard so I need more sort of stimulating preparation ykwim. pls tell me if u have any recs for online platforms for edutest tyyy

Yeah the official practice tests are useless from what i heard, i used NotesEdu to get into ruse year 9 with 4 superiors and it was very helpful, it gives solutions to the questions you get wrong so that you can learn how to do them. It also helped me get into a HAST school in year 6 but i ended up not going to that school lol. For tutoring, some people ik did Selective Specialist or EduVision and they said it was good

i'll dm u next period because my teacher is making us get off laptops oop
