No you didn't have to link to the previous question but I used an example of rDNA tech as a genetic technology and just wrote refer to previous question. Cause normally when we do questions like that, my school makes us use examples of processes so i was just wondering.
Yay cool I did examples too just different ones

im so sorry if this has alr been asked but its been bugging me. for the question asking abt the relationship between individual 1 and 2 (the diagram towards the end), my friends said mother and daughter. I don't think you could determine the gender though?? My thought process is that the X on the germ-line cell was literally for the next part asking to determine the effect of mutation on X,Y,W,Z or smth (bc bio likes using those letters lol) and besides, just bc it donates an X doesnt mean that it's female bc males can also donate X if it's female. idk if that makes sense but what did u guys put?

yeah so take a lot at the key. you have two types of semicircles. doesnt speciify which gamete is which just yet. But once you look at the flowchart, you see sperm is drawn in one orientation (the one on the right of the key) and egg drawn with the other. So look at individual 1 - they got the egg - so a mother. then look at individual 2 - look at cell X - its the egg gamete. thus since it contains an egg gamete - must be a female. Thus daughter
i didn't put this but this explanation does make sense for that q

I put mother and daughter because I thought that the semicircle facing that direction represents an egg rather than a sperm but idk I’ve been worried it’s mother and child help bc people r saying conflicting

Because the sperm from the arrow is introduced so implies that it is the female

I wrote 1 was mother and 2 was just child and its gender can't be determined. Cause the key didn't have anything like that.

idk but my reasoning is its better to be able to show everything yk and be marked harshly than to not be able to put anything onto the paper so i think im fairly happy that this test was okay. also, it helps me feel not as stuffed compared to the other exams i had alr lol
