pH is not necessarily equal to pH. You had to use the equation for Ka and the fact that the ‘p’ means -log_10

also did yall specify base peak for propanoic acid? i didnt specify and just said "other major peaks" and i searched up mass spec and the parent peak is the base peak so is that ok?
also fkn graph question did anyone do a bar chart cause x axis is not quantitative? i did initially but rubbed it out and made it a scatter plot without trendline i think i fkd up
tbh i didnt struggle with it but it doesnt sit right with me

what did you guys get for when the inert gas was added to the system of constant volume? was it meant to be eqm doesnt shift because volume is constant so increased pressure doesnt change the concentration of reactants or products? i think i did it wrong

Pressure increases, so Keq doesn’t change, but the individual concentrations will still change. Only the ratio of concentrations won’t change.

edit: individual concentrations won’t change, still same mols per same volume.

Addition of argon increases pressure, causes eq to shift right, as delta H<0 for fwd reaction, T increases. Reason it’s 4 not 3 is cos of added difficulty realising what argon does as apposed to 3 markers, which would just say: pressure increased, what happens to T?

Lol I was wrong before as well, partial pressure is kinda like concentration but for gases. The Keq depends on concentration NOT pressure. The equivalent is “partial pressure” which isn’t pressure.
Adding argon does not change the concentrations of anything - it’s the same mols for the same volume, so no change.

pH at half equivalence was like 4.3 i got 10^-4.3 = 5 x 10^-5. I reckon there might be some leeway cos this way is still technically valid (legit peak taught this)

Unless the temperature increases when pressure increases (gas laws) but someone did suggest that won’t happen.
