If we get an imaginative for section 1, even if its split with analytical or if its 25 marker, are people using their advanced english mod c stories for this? Or do people have new pieces written specifically for ext 1? :)
I have a separate one from this, in case they ask to continue the stimulus, and because I incorporate more literary theory so that it is more conceptual. This is what all my friends are doing, but I know some people who adapted their ideas from Mod C, just making them more conceptual. idk if any of that makes sense, sorry.

Thank you! What do you mean by incorporating literary theory into imaginative? Also my mod c was inspired by mccann's what time is it now where u are so its a metafictive piece so not sure if i should use it?

Also when they say consider the ideas as in this question from 2022 hsc how would i do that for imaginative any tips: Read Texts 1, 2 and 3 on pages 4–5. Consider the ideas about Literary Worlds that are common to Texts 1, 2 and 3. Use these ideas as the basis of an imaginative response where you create a world with characters who represent divergent points of view.

Honestly, I use my theory from E2 for E1, but my bestie draws on theories from people such as Freud and focuses on dreamscapes in her practices. I also know that my other friend explores philosophy like Stoicism through the characters in her piece. Idk if that makes sense but this was how we were taught to do imaginatives in E1.

What I normally do is find the way they have created a "literary world" and what they are exploring within it, then I attempt to adapt the ideas and their method of exploration to my own understanding of what Texts 1,2 and 3 are trying to say. So, for example (for the past question), if I read the texts and they all seem to represent Lit worlds as "separate entities" from the external realm that allow us to explore our interior worlds through books etc, I would attempt to adapt the idea of lit worlds as vehicles for self-exploration and craft an imaginative where the impact of a literary world is shown on the character. For the question, I would emphasise the disconnect between the impact of the literary world on the character psychologically by contrasting their interior world with that of others around them. Honestly, idk if any of that makes sense or is an actually good example lol sorry if it isn't.

Yup! Just make sure to go sort of niche, they already hate cliches in Mod C lmao, but as long as you write your personal perspective/understanding of the texts and questions, you'll be all g

Does anyone know if they can specify 3 prescribed texts for Electives (e.g. 3 prescribed and 1 related)? I haven't seen it in any of the papers I've seen but I also haven't seen anything ruling it out...

I think it's very very very unlikely that they do, but nothing's stopping them if they want to this year...

Also that makes me wonder, if we're doing a suite of poems does that count as one whole text or separate texts? So if they specifiy to do 3 prescribed texts can we just choose 2 poems + another prescribed text? Cause my school only did Emily Dickinson and hamlet and now I'm worried.

Also can they do text specific questions like mod a and b and then give extracts??

They can ask text-specific questions. My school also did Hamlet and Emily Dickinson and another text, but for Dickinson, the suite of poetry is the whole text, but similar to advanced, you can choose what parts of the text (individual poems) to draw from.

It's kind of like how when you analyse Hamlet, you don't do it act by act, instead you draw evidence from multiple places across the play to reflect your analysis of it and its core messages/themes/discussion/concepts.
