They can ask text-specific questions. My school also did Hamlet and Emily Dickinson and another text, but for Dickinson, the suite of poetry is the whole text, but similar to advanced, you can choose what parts of the text (individual poems) to draw from.
Oh ok thank you! Do you know if they can give a certain extract from a specific poem? Cause I'm using 3 of her poems only in my pre-memorised essay, but should I memorise quotes from the others as well?

In my experience, yes, but this was during internal assessments, and I haven't seen an extract in any past HSC papers, so whilst it's unlikely, I wouldn't rule it out. That being said, I wouldn't bother memorising quotes; I would just make sure I understand the core concepts of her suite and its context, which basically equips you in case they do give an extract. But I also think the likelihood of text-specific questions is highly unlikely. Overall, just make sure you know your texts and authors really, really, really well. Sorry if this doesnt help!

In order to give text speific questions they would need to account for all the combinations of texts in modules, which I think would be impossible so, while they could, I don't think they ever would. Also if you're freaking out about being asked for 2 related texts, remember you can always use a song.

Yeah I don't really understand how they'd ask a text-specific question because if you have what like 6 prescribed texts per elective, a) NESA would be BROKE if they printed that many extracts, b) everyone does a different and elective and within that elective different texts, so they'd have to genuinely ask like 6 questions per elective, thats 30 questions total lol. But maybe you never know!

I'm praying that literary worlds doesn't do something annoying like "continue the narrative" or "use the protagonist" like leave that stuff in Mod C I beg

...I actually love those questions. tbh, I'm good with anything as long as it isn't a 25 mark critical.

I think it's very very very unlikely that they do, but nothing's stopping them if they want to this year...

Also that makes me wonder, if we're doing a suite of poems does that count as one whole text or separate texts? So if they specifiy to do 3 prescribed texts can we just choose 2 poems + another prescribed text? Cause my school only did Emily Dickinson and hamlet and now I'm worried.

Also can they do text specific questions like mod a and b and then give extracts??
The collection of poems definitely count as one single text cuz our teacher is always telling us to analyse it holistically

Also is anyone doing Worlds of Upheaval for their elective study? I'm great on Seamus Heaney but I got no clue what to argue for Metropolis so if anyone has advice or even practice exams pls lmk😭 (I've given up on Frankenstein tbh even though it has by far the most numerous and most accessible resources I just don't enjoy writing about it.)
